Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director, Annual Programs and Alumni, the Annual Giving Officer plays an integral role in the Advancement and Alumni department by developing and implementing the overall annual giving strategy to engage constituents and convert them to donors in the program. This position assists in building a culture of philanthropy as well as building a pipeline for leadership and major giving. The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for coordinating and leading new programming to generate new revenue, increasing revenue from existing programs, utilizing on-line fundraising measures, analyzing and reporting on annual giving programs, and engaging alumni in annual giving.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a 4 year degree or equivalent in Fundraising, Marketing, Public Relations, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience; proven knowledge of direct response marketing. Additional qualifications include: analytical skills; superior communications skills, organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to build rapport and liaise with departments and services both internal and external to the department; Raiser’s Edge database experience along with online digital fundraising and marketing platforms. Experience in higher education advancement will be considered an asset.
