Position Summary

Reporting to the Director Organizational Effectiveness, the Organizational Design and Change Management Consultant will support medium-scale transformation and transition activities - leading assessments; facilitating and documenting design sessions; analyzing findings; generating options; building commitment to solutions; designing and writing content for executive and stakeholder decks; providing guidance and subject- matter-expertise on org design principles; making recommendations and providing support for implementation and transition activities that include structure changes; new and revised roles; resourcing and business process changes. The OD and CM Consultant will work directly with Executives, Senior Deans and other key stakeholders to execute on the transition plan, develop communications, ensure end user commitment and adoption, and the consistent application of leading OD practice.

Qualifications

The OD and CM Consultant is a significant contributor to the transformation exercise. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with at an executive level and with confidential and sensitive information. The successful candidate has the ability to engage, conduct diagnosis, analyze findings, generate options and build commitment to solutions. The role works with multiple and diverse stakeholders and must bring deep knowledge in both change management and OD in order to guide transformation activities.
 
The OD and CM Consultant possesses the following: a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in change management and organizational design, and specialization or formal certification in organizational design and change management. The OD and CM Consultant possess a Masters level degree in a relevant field of study.
 
The OD and CM Consultant possesses exceptional presentation, oral and written communication skills, including meeting and workshop facilitation experience. Additionally, will possess strong business acumen, where knowledge of post-secondary institutions will be an asset, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook and Power Point) proficiency.
