Humber College 2017 T4s

The revisions to T4 data have been completed and the corrected file has been sent to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) today.

  • The hard copies are being processed and will be mailed to all employees in an envelope marked “Amended”.  If you don’t receive it by March 23, 2018, please contact your Payroll Coordinator.

  • In the next day or so, you may access the amended version of your T4 online by logging into your CRA account.

  • Soft copy PDF versions of your T4 are available upon request. For security purposes, PDF versions will only be sent to your current work email address @humber.ca.  Please send your request to payroll@humber.ca or contact your Payroll Coordinator.

  • Printed versions of your T4 will be available upon request.  Contact your Payroll Coordinator to arrange a time for pick up in HR.  You will need to present valid photo identification when coming to LRC6012 North Campus.

  • If you have already filed your income tax, you may file a T1 adjustment or wait for the CRA to make adjustments and send you a Reassessment Notice.

Please note that it has come to our attention that all Humber T4s that were issued on February 23, 2018 are missing an important piece of information. Box 26 on the T4 forms that were generated do not display the correct amount for each employee’s actual CPP pensionable earnings (not related to CAAT Pension).

The Humber HR team is amending the original T4s to include the amounts for CPP pensionable earnings and the corrected file will be sent to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) by the end of this week. The corrected T4s will also be reprinted and hard copies will be mailed to all employees by next week.If you have already proceeded with filing your 2017 taxes using the T4 you received, please consult the following link for information on how to refile your taxes:

  1. What happens next?
    The corrected file was sent to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on March 14, 2018. The corrected T4s will also be reprinted and hard copies will be mailed to all employees thereafter.  If you have not received your amended T4 by March 23, 2018, please contact your Payroll Coordinator per the table below.

  2. What if I have already filed my income Tax Return for 2017?
    You can change your tax return by filling a T1 adjustment or wait for CRA to send you a Reassessment Notice.  Since Humber sent amended T4 data, a reassessment will be triggered if you have already filed.

  3. What if I have NOT filed my income Tax Return for 2017?
    Please use the amended copy of your T4 to file your return and disregard the original.

  4. How do I know it's an Amended T4?
    The title of the slip will clearly state "Amended"

    You may access the amended version of your T4 by logging into your CRA account

  6. Can you email me a copy of my amended T4?
